Since 2011, CEI has had a part in the Environmental Conferences held by the International Erosion Control Association. We’ve had participants and presenters, attenders and volunteers. We’ve made contacts and improved the industry, we hope, by sharing our expertise both in presentations and in casual conversations over a cup of coffee.
EC17 is in Atlanta February 20-24, 2017. CEI will be represented there by David Todd and Andrew Diehl. Both are registered professional engineers and a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC). David has presented at every EC conference since 2011, until this year. He’ll be there for the continuing education and networking opportunities. He might have a few chances to volunteer as well. He’s already working on a paper for next year’s EC conference.
Andrew Diehl will be presenting for the third time at an EC conference. His workshop is titled “A Streamlined Process in Selecting Soft Armoring for Construction Sites”. Andrew does much of the nuts and bolts of CEI’s stormwater pollution prevention work. He’s learned how to quickly, efficiently, and accuracy select systems and products that will protect the environment from contaminated run-off. For too many years, people have approached construction site pollution prevention as though it was an art, not a science. In this workshop, Andrew shows how it is a science, and presents the tools needed to rightly apply that science.
